138 power house!!

The 138 in my old girl has a gudgeon rattle.Goes away with a few revs on her and it doesnt blow any smoke at all. It does, however, leak oil,and a lot of it. Rear main is shot. It was a secondhand grey and i was unsure about a rebuild and how far to go if I did rebuild.
Today I picked up a 138 grey out of a very original FB that now has a red in it. The grey had 42,000 on the clock when it came out and has been sitting for 5 years.
I heard it running,and there are no rattles and no oil leaks. So, Im dropping it in over the weekend. The other 138 will sit in the shed and may one day get a rebuild. But the amount of K's I intend to do are minimal, so this "new" grey might just be fine for a long,long time

for a few bucks if the engine doesn't have brass welsh plugs probably worth replacing them all while the engine is out
what ever is showing on the speedo has to be the actual mileage
