I'm a tad confused with mine. I have the glass washer bottle and the washer nossle in the bonnet, but it doesn't seem to have holes in the bloody nossle for the water to come out of. What am I missing? Also what else does it need to work?
I read the sticky about the washers but still cant figure it out

The holes are very hard to see in the Trico nozzles, but they are there.
For a complete system (and keep in mind that yours might be 1/2 installed etc) you will have a vacuum line going from the manifold to the washer/wiper knob under the dash, and then from this knob back to the top of the vacuum unit on top of the bottle. This line is usually black. If it is original, then it will be ribbed on the outside.
Under the vacuum chamber is an outlet that sticks out sideways. This should have a smaller, clear line that goes to the squirters.
When you push the chrome button in the middle of your wiper knob, this allows the vacuum to go into the top half of the vacuum chamber pulling up the diaphragm. This draws water into the bottom half of the chamber through a one-way valve. When you release the button, the diaphragm is pushed down by the spring and expells the water through the smaller outlet that sicks out sideways beneath the vacumm chamber.
Usually the diaphragm is broken on these units and they don't work. Be careful of this because the water from the bottle will go straight through the diaphragm, up the vacuum line and into the inlet manifold if you hold the button down with the engine running
I haven't seen much of your car, but it really seems that you could have something quite special there. What is its story?

That reads like something Steve Jackson would explain.
Alan you seem to know a lot for someone who just brought a FB.
You sure you don't collect FB/EK's
Am I alone here?

I've had my fair share of EK's in the past
Plastic is my first FB, but the ex Steve Jackson 9000 mile car (my little pink piggy) arrived safe & sound at my place yesterday
I'm just finishing the second garage and this will make room for at least 1 more
