I might attend but I'm ambivalent towards swap meets now because of the "But I can get more for it on eBay" attitude.

You'll get more for it on ebay.

I love seeing an item, making a counter offer (as you do at swap meets) and getting "but it's worth this much from the stores new"
Then giving them "well your at a swap meet, not in the store and it's now second hand"

.

I remember making an offer on some parts at the swap last year. The guy knocked it back.
He ended up getting LESS on Ebay a month later

Yep, and on that point, why the f*&k does it have to start at 6am? IT'S THE WEEKEND PEOPLE! Why not start at 9 or even 10am on a Sunday, some time that's reasonable. The only person I know that likes to be up at 6am on a Sunday is my two year old son.

My best guess would be coz thats a pretty normal time for sellers to be starting work anyway.
How soft are ya?

Soft's got nothing to do with it Craig. If it's a choice between trudging around looking at overpriced chunks of crap in the rain, or sleeping in and waking up to my wife cooking salmon eggs benedict and brewing a cappucino, then the latter option is for me!

Most of the best deals are done the night before.
