I have a problem with the driver side rear of my FB, we have just fitted a complete new standard brake system that works well the only problem we have is that you can spin the drum easily until you tighten the wheel studs with the wheel on then it is very hard to turn like the brakes ar on but we have adjusted them right back - any ideas guys?

The drum isnt hitting the backing plate is it ? Does it make any noise when you turn it ?

G'Day Blacky

I was thinking the same thing, we did check it but I can not think of anything else, unless I have been given wider brake shoes by mistake.

I might put some chalk on the edge of the drum and see if it rubs onto the back plate.

it is free wheeling with the drum on but when the wheel is added it's tight from there, the wheels are stockies and I have tried 2 different rims.

I would pull both back wheels off and check both sides to see if anything looks different - I think ute / van brake shoes were wider than sedan ?
