Anyone have any idea what this sound deading stuff I'm removing from the floors is?
And can you buy replacement?
Otherwise what are you guys using to replace it? :econfused:

Hi Wayne,

That sound deadener you're removing is a bitumous based sheet. It's fun removing it eh  You can still buy the stuff. Scotts Auto Rubber?

Not sure yet what I'm using yet. There is Dynamat which is popular but pricey. Rares sells Dynamat as well as another similar product - I forget its name but its chepaer than Dynamat. Clarke Rubber also sells sound deadener too. At the end of the day for me it may depend on $...and also I want to hear my hotted up grey anyway...

I also sell Dynamat and can generally beat most Australian prices and I use e-go.com.au which makes the freight relatively cheap too. PM me with your quotes and Location and I'll see what I can do.
