radio light

gday everbody need some advice trial fitting radio in dash seems light bulb is blocked by dash .do you need to drill a hole so light goes to diamond dot or a bigger hole
to replace bulb seems a mission to pull radio out to change bulb.also demister ducting in way is it the norm to cut piece out of glove box corner to clear .dont want to start
butchering ute.thanks.

Radio, demister, glovebox and the reciprocating wiper arms should all go in without butchering... though it is pretty tight. You will need to spend some time with your head under their to get the demister tube routeing right though.

Someone will correct me if I am wrong,but I think thats an FB radio out of a sedan.
The commercial radios had radiused corners on the facia.
I think the EK radios had the black plastic facias.
This may be why you are having an issue with fitment.(maybe not)
Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

The alloy faceplate is from a special, as it is intended to marry up with the dash trim.
The light should illuminate the little red lens next to the diamond dot.
I see what you mean about no hole in the dash for the light to shine through though

gday yep beggers cant be choosers got radio out of farm wreck
will swap it if anyone wants that type of facia to commercial one .if you dont need a hole for light it must
work it is tight under dash plus parcel tray and demister will work it out thanks.
