Four-link rear end

Well, after what feels like a lifetime, I am back working on the wagon! I am pretty keen on fitting a tri-angulated 4-link rear end into the car, for numerous reasons (one being the difficulty getting an engineer to sign off on airbags). I have looked at the Mc Donald Bros universal kits, but I am unsure how the top mount for the shock absorber should go. It looks like I might get away with cutting a notch into the existing bracketry, and fitting a beam across, to use as the upper mount. Has anyone else out there tackled this, or have any better ideas?

I am also curious what hurdles people might have had to overcome with a triangulated 4 link rear. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this.

A couple of builds on here have fitted 4 link rear ends, have a look at the "Black beast" and kiid61's build threads .
