Hub centric rings
Anyone used hub centric rings to bring down the hub size on HQ type rims to Commo size??
Run what ya brung and hope it's enough
Re: Hub centric rings
Havn't tried to adapt the hub size, but I thought the showstopper was that the PCD on Commodore and HQ was different - Commodore at 120mm (4.724") and HQ at 120.65mm (4.75")?
Admitedly they are not different by much, but enough to put a bending moment on the studs which can lead to failure under load?
If my (fuzzy ) memory is right, either Blacky, Trev or Stinky had some Commodore wheels offset milled to allow swapping to HQ stud pattern (or vice-versa)?

Re: Hub centric rings
I modded a Commondore diff by offset drilling to HQ stud pattern and fitting oversize wheel studs . If you want to fit Commode rims then you may need to fit spacers to get the offset right - not legal AFAIK but effectiveHarv wrote:Havn't tried to adapt the hub size, but I thought the showstopper was that the PCD on Commodore and HQ was different - Commodore at 120mm (4.724") and HQ at 120.65mm (4.75")?

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
