Howdy Folks.
I'm a newby on this site, so hello to all.
Here a few snips of my old girl, I purchased of a retired spray painter in 96, lucky for me I had to do the body again because he just bogged her all over, and stuck her in primer.

As she was when I got her home.
Now all the work has started.

I hope I'm posting pics right, well see what happens.

Yes I'm running 350 vortec on full gas and turbo 700 Auto with 2500 Dominator High Stall.
The rear end is IRS donard from Toyota MA 61 supra, very similar to 1600 Datto, but with less camber sweep. Commodore IRS rear springs were utilised

G'day Smooth,
Adding onto what I mentioned to Austmod.
Due to excessive rust in the front subframe, and firewall mounting area this led me to a strut front end conversion. I used the top suspension towers from a VL commode and Struts + front crossmember and rack, with fabricated inner guards to suit. VL steering column is also used. The chassis rails are 75x50x2.5 Duragal RHS, which are welded solid to the body, the 1.2mm zincanneal floor was also welded in, the body I had was Auto model so no transmission tunnel mods were made other than clearencing to aid removal of trans in situ. VP V8 brakes are used up front and the factory Toyota rear discs are used also, coupled to a 15/16 commodore master cylinder and Sigma brake booster. The brakes are superb, stop well with good pedal feel. The wheels are 15'' chasers running Moonies and whitewalls. The motor has been built for dedicated LPG so I had to install a 100ltr gas tank in the boot area which led to a change in the boot floor as well, I will post further pics in soon. Regards John

G'day All.
Dug up more pics from from the oldnek progress CD.
These are when I was steelin out the boot, may look like a drop tank but only protrudes 50mm from under the rear bar.
Just to let you folks know, all this work was carried out over a 3 to 4 year period working part time and after hours so a lot of credit goes to my wife and kids for putting up with my stubborness, crankiness and shittyness especially when I made big mistakes and had to refabricate things. ':x'
My Ek is actually nearly completed it had passed the engineers report last Saturday, still waiting for the certificate so I can register the old girl. Was hoping to take her to Sydney for a run this weekend.

Regards John
