Hi there,
i want to put a bigger fuel tank into our company EK ute. I found a few older post regarding this topic, but none gave me a proper answer.
I saw that some were talking about using tanks out of VN's or falcon. Some were self-built and some were talking about tanks from "QLD".
Can anybody who has finished this job tell me what the tank is the most suitable one, what extra work is required to get it right and how the gauge works in the end.
I have a full workshop to get the work done and happy to post the results when its done. Just need some basic info to start with.
Thanks, David
Larger Fuel tank
Re: Larger Fuel tank
G'day Tab100,
Marty Dean is the Queensland guy making beautiful stainless steel tanks of around 60L capacity. They are a well built, bolt in product - they come with all the hardware, even fuel sender. Marty gets busy, so it can take some months to get a tank. They are not cheap, but I believe good value - even if I could weld to that standard, the time and materials to make one would be more than Marty charges. He organised freight to NSW for me, can't remember which courier but it arrived well and price was OK.
