I've been wondering how different people do this.

Do you open the hole in the middle of the wheel and fit them from behind or do you fit them from the front somehow?

Im interested in peoples differing experiences and methods.

Pretty sure this bloke makes the "push through" type the correct size for early holden wheels.

if you allready have some, i die grinded some rims once but only a little bit i wouldn't do to much cause i think the rims are pressed that way for strength, was only reading on here somewhere the other day that somebody had siliconed some on, i've siliconed full caps on before and never lost them

Wont they foul on the hub?

The hub fits neatly through the hole in the rim.

Ive been considering welding a small collar to the center of the rim and slipping the bullet over that, fixing them either with silicon or some kind of neat looking screw through the side.

Craig, I had to fix mine on the outside (they wouldn't fit through from behind).
I used 'Liquid Nails' construction adhesive. Worked well; retains a bit of flexibility, bullets can be carefully removed with a small knife for tyre changes/repairs.
Did the same thing on my ute as well; haven't lost a bullet yet in over 40000 kms...
With this glue or silicon, you have to be careful to use just enough to stick but not squeeze out and be seen...

Mine aren't bullets but they push through. Fronts are tight rears fine.

I have used Dariol moulds (stainless steel jelly molds) and they fit between the hub and wheel ok.

I got the 'hutty' bullets on ok, push through from behind.

Pushed mine through from behind, each bullet varies slightly so I made sure the bigger ones were on the front to fit over the hub properly...
