Black poop and water out of exhaust.

Hi all

Have just fitted a pair of 186s headers and the matching manifold with dual throat strommie to the FB van.
Problem is i now get black watery poop coming out the exhaust until the engine warms up.
I have wound the mixture screws in a tad and the motor idles sweet... just blows poop.
The standard carb and manifold never caused the engine to blow poop.
Both manifolds have the water cooling pipes from the thermostat housing running to them .

Any idea whats causing the black water crap to blow out the zorst pipe. ??

Depending on how much water's coming out, that's normal. Exhaust is basically steam. When yu switch the car off, whatever exhaust is still in the pipes cools off and turns to water. When you start the car up, this water comes out the tailpipe. Once the car warms up, this water evaporates.

Running rich will make it more noticable
