NUT ISSUES ! - HT Holden rims...

Have the new 14"HT rims to go on the EK...but as they used the steeper taper (60 degree, 7/16) than the earlier Holden rims I need the original nuts as chrome acorns I tried didn't engage anywhere near enough for me to feel safe about using them...now trying to find 20 original HT nuts to get them on the car.
Anyone else have issues like this...?
Cheers Maiki

Yes, I had the same problem with 1 set of chrome nuts, took me a while to work out why I had to keep doing the wheel nuts up

...as I understand Nuts should engage studs a distance at least the diameter of the stud...?
Remember which chrome nuts ended up working...?
Cheers

I had an old set given to me by an old work mate that worked fine, I would go ask auto barn or repco to see if you can order them.

I got mine at Autobarn. They should have them in stock Maiki.

Please tell me if I am barking up the wrong tree here, but "Acorn" nuts I assume you mean bullet or dome nuts??
I have some on the FB, which are sleeves that just go over the existing nut.
I havent lost one yet, and they are only a couple of bucks each.
They come in two sizes. Got them fron Johns Rod and Custom.
Hope this helps.
Dave.

That is another option for Maiki, Dave. I've got chrome wheel nuts with a slight bullet/dome end. Which is what I think he was chasing.

Devilrod, yeah idealy the bullet like ones, I'll try some stores, Autobarn in Elizabeth st were useless last week, will ring ahead for other places!
But those covers would work quite well in a pinch.
