engine bay plate

i seem to have lost my id plate of the fire wall. a year ago or more i took it off to paint the car. then i moved in with my in laws to look after them as they have dimentia.now i can't find it anywhere.can i use any EK id plate' and any suggestions where i would get one. you never see them on ebay. help :( :( :(

You shouldnt need one for rego , they only need the engine number and the chassis number.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
