Post by tuffbwagon »

hey guys so ive started looking at fitting the radiator in the fb but the shaft on the water pump is hitting the radiator so is there another shorter version of the pump or will i have to recess the radiator further into the support to get clearance. cheers wayne

Hi Mate,

Yes there is a shorter version.

Take a trip to your local Repco and have a look at their range.

I have bought plenty of water pumps and never come across a short or long one :? .
I would be looking at where your engine mounts are located. (pic's will help us here)

there may be i'm not 100% sure i think there is and the waterpump pulley is deeper possably off the blue motor, BUT it still shouldn't fowl the radiator

I know there is because a few years ago when replacing the water pump in our EK, we bought the wrong one and it was too long, and we then returned it to get a shorter one (which then fitted)
