if you change the diff centre which would be advisable an LC/LJ torana tail shaft fits straight in, cross member will need to be modified and also floor hump

I'm pretty sure Ratbox is right. I think that was what I used, I was given it so I can't recall but it fits fine with the trimatic.

Thanks for the help, I will be changing the standard banjo center to a locked 3.36 banjo, what mods does the cross member need, cheers oldfb6

Is it a factory auto? If not you have some serious cutting and fabricating to get the trimatic in.
As for crossmember see above question, if its manual you will need to make one.

I'd suggest using the tunnel from Castlemaine Rod Shop ($95), that way you can use factory auto carpet. Plus you can also get a t700r under them. A few people have used them on here now.

yes sammy done it plenty of times, even the current EK the 5 speed conversion i bought came with a tailshaft out of a LJ and it fit perfect, even an EK ute i put a 308 in with trimatic and 9" i got a tailshaft out of a torana that had a 9" and it worked
