Hey All My name is Jason I live in Alice Springs NT
I've loved the 1950's all my life and I just love the styling of the FB and EK holdens, I'm not affraid to get my hands dirty and do a bit of work on a car (I've changed gearboxs and head gaskets on numerous cars) but i'm still learning and open for a challenge

At the Moment I'm Selling my First Car a Toyota Celica and looking to buy a car from my favourite era, So until its sold I dont have mucch money but it never hurts to do a little window shopping, I estimate that once iv'e sold my car I should have arround $3000 to spend on a car and then maybe a grand on top of that to make it regoable now i'm not really sure if this is enough but i'm hoping to find a reasonably cheap way in to the Classic Car world obviously the less money i spend the better, i'm looking for any kind of RHD Fifty's or Early Sixties car but would certainly prefer a FB or EK well with that being said any help would be much apreciated , also if anyone is intersted in my car let me know

Cheers Jason

Have a look around on ebay etc and see what you find, $3000 could get you a decent project but there will be work to be done like rust, mechanical etc and it could spill over $1000. But nothing is to say you can't do it on a budget-that's how hot rodders etc started out in your favourite era after all.
If you want it as a daily to replace the Celica it may take some time though- but you could be lucky and find a cheap project as well as a cheap daily in the meantime?
Good luck with the search and welcome mate

Jimmy
