Found this over at our FE and FC owning friend's forum pages and thought it might be of interest - I was only talking to Andrew today about the E10 issue.

I only ever put premium in my car anyway
I also read somewhere that E10 is not suitable for our steel fuel tanks
At the end of the day they have us by the balls

Ethonol is corrosive...end of story.
Moden cars use totally different materials throughout the fuel system so that it does not fail due to the ethonol we are being encouraged to use.
It should never be used in a vehicle that was not designed with this type of fuel in mind. Even E10 (10% ethonol) will destroy the diaphragm in your fuel pump, as well as get your fuel tank rusting from the inside out.

Lets see, been running the roadster on ethanol blend for at least 6-7 years and the EK 4 years. No drama's yet and a mechanic mate hasn't said it will be an issue.
