holy sh!t im watching "the cars that ate paris" a$$ holes need to be shot killing all the old girls in the movie nooooooo i gotta admit the ej,ek,fb,fe and fc speedway looking cars are pretty cool tho but what a waste! crashing them into each other in the main street is a good laugh tho any one know where i can get the dvd or vcr (as we still have a vcr player) and if you have never seen it watch it so far its a good movie and i love it how the old lady is sitting in the chair polishing what looks to me to be a fb/ek tail light surronds haha
whos seen itand what do you reckon?

I've seen it, you either love it or you hate that ol' movie.
Its classic Aussie thats for sure, The settings, the props,
the shitty band at the dance, and the real offbeat Aussie humour,
its a cult movie these days.
It was Peter Wier's first movie, he has since gone on to great things.

I got given that movie by someone that said "have a look at this great aussie film", I was glued to the TV for the whole time just waiting for it to get good, what a let down :lol: , no wonder the people in the town didn't want it mentioned :roll: :shock: , sorry not for me, Trev 8) .

I seen it at dirt cheap cd's the other day for $10.00 i should of brought it. They also had two lane blacktop( i think thats what its called) with a 55 chev on the front. Might get that on Saturday. Cheers Mark

i have seen midnight spares i thought it was great and running on empty is my fav movie i loveee the 57 but i will check out fj holden i have heard of it but have never seen it i think i have seen a small fraction of it around 5 yrs ago when i was 10 and dad said ok no looking this is a "rudy" bit haha so being the good little boy i was i covered my eyes then when the "rudy" bit was over mum came out with ok mike its 8.30 bedtime and i was spewin haha ah well ill check it out

The "two lane blacktop" 55 chev is the one used in American Graffiti!
The 60's, big cars, no speed limit and all the fuel you could burn for a Dollar!

so they took a perfectly good 55 and radiused the rear guards. or maybe they used the one from falfa's crash scene :lol:
i can't find movies like this anywhere around here. JB Hi Fi normally have some good oldies, but hardly any aussie ones.

i never really noticed that the guards were radiused in american graffiti. spent too much time looking at milner's coupe. droooolll
