oil light flashing

strangly when the car is at idle the oil light has been coming on and flickering. when i give it a few revs the light disappears. basicly the light only comes on at low revs sometimes, could this be my sender? I hope....

have you checked you oil level? are all the electrical connections on properly? just a few thoughts...

oil is all good, electrical seems alright, gunna try a new sender today

Hi Mate,
Have previously experienced same issue.

Mine turned out to be the sender as well.
Although i did have a few worrying moments when it first occured.

Though at the time, i took the oil filler cap of and shone my torch in over the rocker shaft and oil was squirting out of the brass hex joiner and out of the rocker oil holes as well. Figured if oil had enough pressure to squirt out at the top of the engine, pressure must be fine else where.

(Watch out for the fan if you try to replicate this check.)

thanks for the help guys turned out to be the sender although i did sh1t myself when the light kept coming on and i thought the worst. Rego went with flying colours jimmy, thanks for the help. see you all at AHD
