my daughters mitsubishi lancer goes better than any 6 cylinder 1 tonner i've ever been in aswell, that's not exactly a good ccomparison, without knocking thommo's car in any way but i've seen the incar vid from a couple of years ago

this will go on forever i'll never convince you they are slow and you'll never convince me they can be made to go fast without spending a small fortune :)

by the way the people retro's talking about pull greys out and stick V8's in  they just collect old stuff 8)

Your right Ratbox, Greys will should never be considered fast by todays standards, obviously.
But you can make them fast compared to what was avaliable at the time.

I fail to see why you think you need to convince him anyway.

He has driven a hot grey, he is happy with the performance level, has the dough to do it, and wants to have one, whats wrong with that.

'Fast' and 'Fortune' are both reletive to ones position.

I was lucky enough to be taken for a spin in Gaz's Black Beast in Mildura on the way home from the nats.
I have no disillusions about what is fast.
But I am still very happy with my car, it hasn't made me want to ditch it for an injected small block.

Cheers
Jeff :D

wasn't meant that way, i'm not trying to tell anybody what to do and i'm sure everybody that has a grey motor is quite happy with it otherwise they'de change

this all started with a light hearted tongue in cheek comment and as usuall those that seem to have little or no sense of humor or feel they have to defend grey motors to the bitter end have taken it the wrong way and run with it   :?
