Stewart (Parisian62) fought hard to tame the savage beast, and kept putting it in reverse...



Having mastered the Speco floorshift, Stew had one of the biggest sh*t eating grins of the Nats.



I'm nervous too, especially when she decided to play dead...



But not to fear, after a roll start in third, Stew and I had the reigns of the beast, and she ran free...



...and right back to its rightful owner...



Thanks Thommo, you made the Nats for me and Stew. You couldn't get the smile off my face for hours. I think Stewart was the same.

Its an old aftermarket one from the sixties, unbranded.
Probably a Springalex copy.
If it was a Springalex you would see their name on it.

I can only dream of the time that your beast, Stew's Old Timer and Edna are out cruising together, with 9 Stromberg carbies between them!

It was fun!

What really impressed me is how tractable at low speed Thommo's car is. That lumpy 35/75 cam and those triple carbs do not mean a sacrifice in driveability. It pulled cleanly from low speed without being cranky. Plenty of power when needed. Such a great car.
