You are probably expecting this, Trev..
For vinyl, I use Meguiars "shine"..... but be warned - as with armourall..... you will find staying put whilst the vehicle is in motion to be a challenge.....
We have covers over our seats... and I usually apply the "shine" then let it dry - finally wiping away all excess before replacing the covers.
If there are stains/dirt which "shine" cannot "lift".... "interior detailer" will do a more thorough job.... I would then apply "shine" to seal the surface..
If your vinyl is particularly dirty .... stubborn stains...Meguiars all purpose general cleaner should "lift" most away in one application - a second application using a nail brush to gently scour will remove all that you probably ever will....be sure to try this on a test piece first... AND rinse all the cleaner off with a very damp cloth and dry it before applying "shine" to seal the resulting "clean" and "bare" vinyl.....
Two coats of "shine" will provide quite some substantial effective UV protection for months - and provide a surface from which a re-application of "shine" will remove any surface contaminants....
With the little truck, I am experimenting in using Meguiars leather care on the vinyl/plastic door trims.... so far - it is working a treat.... it does not "shine" up anywhere near as much, yet still leaves a very slight "waxy" coating on the surface to protect it...... and a great "expensive" pong......

Step one cover seat when working on car.....
Trev mattymartin had a few good tips on cleaning trim, but seems you've gotten a few already. I use nifti in the roadster.
