Has anyone put a larger radiator in their car, and if so what size and did it cost $$$$$

Are the original radiators prone to over heating?

My FB is 186 red powered with a 14" thermostatic fan replacing the mechanical engine fan on a re-cored standard FB/EK radiator and it never gets hot!

Comes down to a few variables Kat,

what motor u runnin?
any work done to it?
What kinda cooling fan?
is everything in good working order in the cooling system?

i have a worked 186, cam etc with a thermo fan, i'm running a 3 core ht era radiator, it is just ok, by that i mean i would like a bit more temp control in my mind it runs a bit hot especially on a hot day after driving then pulling in traffic.

if your running a standard setup then yeah the original radiator should be ample... maybe needs a pro flush?

The beauty of the cooling systems on these cars is there simple and effective.

Hope this helps 8)

PS you can pick up a larger late model radiator for next to nuttin if ya find the right seller, then would pay to spend a 100 or so on a flush..
again from the right seller say, 50+ on hoses and clamps, then fitting (maybe cut out front panel for air flow)
