nothing really to see, still kinda looks like the first pics just more complete and it's all pretty much the basic stuff that's been covered in other threads like disc front red motor 5 speed chassis kit
when i can drive it out and in the shed will be the next pics, unless there's things people want to see

Hey Mick, what happened to the UC torana front end you were putting in?

i end up with a smashed EK that had disc front, chassis kit, red motor and 5 speed. so the torana front idea got shelved, still have the front end and an EK ute so maybe, but this is starting to get old doing the same thing over and over
the sedan should be done, i have to fit globes in the dash and screw it in put on headlights and blinkers front and rear bumpers rear light assemblies put in the petrol tank put on door trims and back seat and that's it and i just can't be bothered
so the ute's a big job so i don't see it happening :?

C'mon Rb you'll be right, think of all the good that you do and all the wrecks that have been left for dead that you have saved. Surely that's enough to keep you going? Maybe try doing something a little different, you have a ute which to my knoledge you havn't done one before and as far as driveline, I have noticed you seem to stick with what you know.

So why not mix it up a bit? you could do a warm grey motor with some period hot up accessories. Or if you wanted to do someting different again why don't you go for a injected black 202? I'm sure you could pick up a complete vk cheap enough and from what I hear they go very well in the old holdens. ek61 (Dave) here in Adelaide has done it and he loves it. Another option would be a v6 from a vn or even the later ecotech ones. But from what I have heard they are pretty tricky to fit and very costly and I know you are all about budget cruising.

Really sad to see you loosing motorvation, hopefully you can get some new ideas and find your mojo again :D
You won't be late with a 138!

i've done a ute it had a 308, the chopped 2 door had hotty gray 4 speed looked cool but a stock red would still leave it wondering where it went plus the price of gray stuff these days cheaper to put in a V8, couple of mates have had injected 6 in earlies that were soon replaced with either V8's or hotty carbied enjines i nearly put one in the light blue sedan but they told me i'de be wasting my time, V6 comm motor i'de like but yeah there just a pain in the bum and not kool

i think my biggest problem is where i live now i'm a couple of hours drive from anything car related and most of my mates have grown into women and aren't interested in going to things   so i keep thinking why bother :? :(

Hope thats not me included????
I was a woman but found my nuts again a few years ago, even taking the grey power on journeys over vast distances (just slowly).

Are you coming down for Tug in the Park???

I agree , You might need a bit more of a challenge :)

A 409 would look wicked in the little girth of an ek .
Or heres one I always wanted/will do eventually - widen the whole car 6 inches

Harko I have thought of the same thing!! it would look awsome and wouldn't be "that difficult". Also thought of widening the track by the guards/quarter panels only and contour it like an FJ so the body inside of the car is the same, subframes the same, be like an external "tub job" 8) . I can see the number plate on it... "BOTOX"
