Great pics Steve,I see there are a couple of standards there also! :) Mark,Karens FB must be an early release,it would be interesting to know what the earliest number plate is on a currently regoed car :o Rat 138 had a great color pic of Bondi Beach in the 60's here also! 8) .Have got some more pics to put up soon

i had a pic but lost it :oops: was in the local paper a couple of weeks ago cowra hospital 50th aniversary a row of dodge panel truck ambulances and in the middle a (can't remember :oops: ) FB or EK ambulance

Some time ago, I found a box of slides (about 100) at a second hand junk shop. Among them are a few street scenes and caravan park shots as well as some interesting ones of the Capalaba drive-in (the first one in Queensland). Though all these shots dont feature FB-EK Holdens I find them interesting just the same and wish to share them with the forum punters. All in glorious colour.

The people who's slides these are, are unknown but the cars they had went from a Vauxhall, 54 Cusso, 56 Cusso then some early 60's Dodges.
This servo shot, I've been told in in Bundaberg as the water tower still stands.

Hey SunnyRob that last servo shot, is exactly the same as my fathers Vauxhall Velox (had a red interior) Just can't recall if it had a towbar ?

Gents.

As it has been nearly 10 years since anyone has commented on, or added to this post, I thought just due to its content,
It is really worth revisiting.

Some amazing images of old times in Oz.
