 The "spool out of a hydraulic valve or something" looks to be a brake/clutch master cylinder piston to me Blacky.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

I have been busy putting the motor together , stripped the gearbox and resealed it - the gears have a little bit of rust on them but I am hoping they will clean up - will drive it around the block and change the oil , that should fix it
Spent the last couple of nights in the shed stripping the front end down , had the bits blasted and last night I painted the motor , box , lots of little bits like the fan , generator , starter motor , etc and all the bits for the front end. Got to bed at one , back in the shed at 4 this morning to paint some bits silver then got on a plane at 5:30 to fly to site for a few days work
I get home friday night and providing Rare Parts get my front end bits here by Friday I will be in the shed this weekend putting the front end together and the motor and box in :D :D

113 days to go - but who's counting

Pics to come on Sunday night
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Yo Blacky,

With your CRS front rack are you using the kit supplied, bent HR steering arms or the shorter HQ power steering arms................. just interested to know?

I'm going to put a 9" cutting disc through the lot and using either a LH front ala Gaz or using a HR front and Cortina power rack.

Hopefully today I will get the front suspension together and maybe a bit of candy on the motor - first I need to get rid of a fairly large hangover
