Great work Wot, looks like you can never have enough vice grips to do that sort of work. Always interested to read and see progress on this ute. Thanks

A small update.
I finally got the channel that I made for the tunnel stiffener shaped, trimmed and fully welded in.
Heres a pic of some offcuts so you can see what it looked like before it went in.
I folded a channel out of 1.6, then ran it through some rollers, then hit it a bit, then hit it a bit more, then after I trimmed about 5mm off the back edge to allow
for the slope of the tunnel it fit just like a bought one.
Then I pushed it into place with a trolley jack, tacked and welded it
Sounds easy if you say it fast.....

Sweet As ! HD Gasser , about time someone showed some style . Looks like you had some spare head gaskets along with the intake manifolds , a bit of f/glass and all of a sudden you have a light weight bumper !!!
Wanna swap sheds ?

Thanks.
Its a steel bar.
Its covered in masking tape from where I marked out the holes.
There are 202 holes in it at the moment.
Took bloody ages (and a lot of bourbon) to holesaw it.
Burned out a drill doing it...lol
I have lots of build pics and will start a thread when its closer to completion.
