Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
took the engine out, so i can do the brake & petrel lines and do the steering, so i welded these bits in and painted them up

and i pick up my new power steering rack on friday, so i can start working out the steering, as for now i'm using a vs column shift auto. so it's coming along fine

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
Hey mate,
that looks like they just recondition the rack and not shorten it? Is that correct? I have been told so many times that it can't be done.

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
Painted up the things i welded in last week

and weld up a few pin holes

got a VT power booster on ebay for $10.50,much better then my VP booster

the bolts at the back of the boosters were different

so with a little welding and cutting

and the rod on the VT booster was much longer had to cut and shut

i got it in today

looks heaps better

so now i'm going VT brakeshttp://www.ebay.com.au/itm/140868483154?ssPage ... 1439.l2649
got the new air con compresser

and i'm looking at what radiator i can use (VS ??)so i can use a VS air con radiator, as the ek one is to small for the air con ??? once i work that out, i can order the rest of the air con

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
put the VT brakes on my, VS brakes were just to worn out

not happy with where i welded the rubber line ends that join the steel lines

just too close to the wheel (for getting it passed by the engineer) i think

thinking of putting it here (where else can i put it)

had the same problem with the hand brake cable, i think this is the best spot for it now (where else can i put it)

can't do the rest till i know were the exhaust is going to be

got the air con Gen II super cool one, as i don't think the compack one is right for a sedan

it's the mock up one

little bit of cutting and it fits nicely and they said it would'nt fit

not much glove box left tho

Re: Tigers V6 Conversion
have'nt being doing to much as i've been waiting for parts, so i welded up the holes in the engine bay

did'nt realise how many holes

now i'll paint it in 2 pac when i work out the holes for the air con, etc.

sent my vs column and shaft to v6 conversions to get modded as it was just too hard to do on my own

made one big mistake did'nt take every thing off the column (column auto shift) part is now missing and left the bolts in the shaft now missing
will be ring them on monday (parts you just can't buy)

seems to fit alright

Hi The ac unit looks good, is it a heater as well? Would you have the model number as I'm looking at doing ac as well.
