i've always liked the fb/ek and chevs as they have similar looks ... you've just made the best of both worlds :)

still not keen on the gun sights but i do like the headlights at first wasn't sure but now seeing it done looks good

The thought of turning an EK into a mini 57 didn't appeal to me.
But those headlight rims look killer 8)
I've seen FE/FC headlight rims done before,
they are not big enough for the job,
as the gaurds need to curve in to blend,
The wider 57 rim fits beautifully,
and the way they lean forward so much at the top looks very aggresive.

I also think your new side trim is a great improvment from the 57 copy.
Its your own style, instead of a copy 8)

Just a thought :idea:
Maybe you could come up with your own version of the bonnet gunsight.
use the lower portion as fitted to the bonnet,
but add something custom to it, to again give it your own style.

Ive enjoyed reading your build up, and your workmanship looks superb.
Keep up the good work.

Us Southerners work hard in the cold to stay warm.

Whoa...now that looks awesome. I've been watching keenly and am absolutely won over by your progress.
It really seems like you have a solid vision of where you want to take the car and i can't wait to see more of it as it unfolds.

When you first went down this path I wasn't sure!

But I'll be damned it looks excellent! :shock:

I think the grill is what keeps it all together just a nice balance all round

My 2 bob's would be, I think Mal has pulled that look off nicely, probably because of the quality of workmanship, but if someone (probably like me) had tried this sort of job without Mal's experience it could have looked allot different, If you know where I'm coming from.

Hey guys,

Thanks for the kind comments, I must admit I was pretty pleased with how it looked when all put together. Cutting up a perfectly good set of guards was a bit scarey.
I've still not decided on colours yet but we are narrowing down the options, I think.

Hi all,

Finally I got my diff back and have just about got it all sorted. I ended up having to use Commodore discs and calipers instead of the &*#@ ones that I was going to use, for the simple fact of lack of space.The &*#@ caliper was a lot bigger and would have ended up hitting on the under side of the chassis rail. So they just redrilled the rotors to suit my &*#@ stud pattern. I'm certainly glad the diff guys knew what they were doing.
Anyway it all fits very snuggly with the exception of the bulge in the back of the housing getting a bit to close to the front of the fuel tank. Something I may have to adjust.
Ride height should be just about spot on by the time all the weight goes back in.
Anyway just a couple of pickies

commodore rear discs are better than &*#@ anyway :D
if yor wheels are &*#@ pattern what front discs are you useing? don't know if you know but if you need more clearance tyre to wheel arch you can use p76 front discs to narrow front wheel track :wink:
i always get excited when you add something cause it's always worth seeing :D
