Good news on the rattler though. Did it end up being a crook Hall sensor?

Was just a timing issue mate, the toothed wheel was in the wrong spot , got #1 daughter in the shed on key twisting duties while i marked the toothed wheel with masking tape and marks on the front of it and worked out where it was firing #1 at and moved the wheel to suit. will now centre punch the edge of the harmonic balancer and the toothed wheel for future reference.

Only ran it for a minute or so Neil, need to put the rest of the front on - didn’t want to install the grille etc until I knew it didn’t have to come out again.
