Didn’t need it Tim. It’s as if the boot lid was painted on the car.

Good to see you are able to get on with it. We actually had a 19 degree day here today but generally painting is not practical for a few more months yet.

Original mat Tim? Big nozzle, low pressure?

The new mats are very nice though. I do like the fleck effect. Inside my panel van had been done. You would have to be confident doing a mat but then I suppose if it went wrong you could wipe it off quickly and have another go.

All FB specials had flecked floormats, the colour matched the trim combo. This was carried through the EK standards - my pink EK 215 has red flecked mats, your ute would have also originally

Sorry for hijack. 1986 I Had a red fleck Tuscany yellow EK215 with original mat but it was falling apart. I remember it being plain black. Being a young idiot I ripped it out and replaced with black carpet red motor Aussie four speed tunnel cut etc. HX buckets, oh dear.

What made my ute a special? Just having chrome and guard spears?

Paint looks great and I like what you did with the mats and the fleck. If I can’t save my originals with red fleck I might give your method a try. Did you use a special paint to stick to the rubber?
