Thanks for the feedback guys and after looking at it for a little while I do agree that it would be too much colour, the surround that I picked up was in really good condition usually they are broken underneath where they mount.
I think a little bit of ArmorAll and it will come up a treat.

Just past a big mile stone I think, 41 or 2 degrees outside the workshop yesterday and I had the evap air conditioner running since 0700 in the morning, it keep the shed to around the low to mid 30's
Keith the retired panel beater that painted Frank came down to help and we fitted the underlay, carpet and finally the bench seat
The carpet was a moulded EK auto one like others have used, I wasn't overly happy with the fit but in the end it worked out ok.
I have cut it around the shifter and we were able to get it to form quite well, the underlay was probably the most time consuming thing to cut to shape.
So to same I'm really pleased with the result is an understatement  gets me so much closer to finishing.

That really looks good 8)

No center seatbelt though? It's a bit squishy with the floor shifter, but handy for restraining beer cartons  I got a bit worried with the wagon that the engineer would see two belts, and certify it that way (5-seater car instead of 6).

Cheers,
Harv

make sure you check the floor bolts every couple of weeks as the carpet underneath the seat mounts crushes down.

Thanks for the comments guys I still feel I am a way off finishing yet, a lot of little things to do.

Good point Stinky I didn't think of that however I did cut the underlay away around the area where the seat mounts go but yes the front mount where it slips under the bracket was pretty hard to get in as it has 2 layers of carpet so I will make sure I check it again.

Harv I didn't want a centre belt as you say it is very close to the shifter and I am going to put a console there anyway.

Clint beer and swimming it certainly should have been but really wanted to get to this point before Xmas, I don't have a pool so we just had to settle for the beers after we finished.

Regards
Neil

Use some hair clippers or solid beard trimmer on the carpet edges will tidy them up a bit more too but looking bloody nice mate - might have to change it's name as Frankenstein does not do it justice anymore :starr: :starr: :starr: :starr: :starr:
