without the list in front of me some were not prem features and alot were available on EK's anyway and it's kinda been established that the motor had been changed so nothing on the engine could be counted as it may have come with the replacement engine

at the end of the day as with JP's car it makes no difference to me wether it's real or not you 2 are the only ones who benefit if people believe you or not

for the record i do think yor car is something special, as for JP's like most i've never seen it so can't or shouldn't comment
Firsts Mick, the features are listed if you would bother to do your research before rushing in with opinions as usual

Second who knows if the engine was Holden fitted or not? It has been suggested to me by three experts that the engine could be. It is well documented that Holden changed many engines on their cars that they owned without notifying Vic Roads. This car was owned by Holden ..... Documented.

Third, many people would see the gold ek as a benefit to the history and research of early Holden history, but not you!

Last, sorry to hear the car is nothing special to you

i know they were listed but couldn't be bothered looking but as you insist
Here are the differences for memory from the usual EK Special.

1. Euroa Gold Metallic Paint.

2. Painted (Satin) Gold Dash top.

3. Painted Gold inner window dividers. nothing to do with EJ prems

4. Golf Ball Hood Lining. not EJ prem

5. Three chromed clamps on inner top of windscreen ? not EJ prem

6. Power Steering

7. White steering wheel. available for EK's

8. Radio. available for EK'S

9. Heater / Dimister. available for EK's

10. Two speed whipers. available for EK's

11. Dual Horns. available for EK's

13. Washer Wipers. available for EK's

14. Door Arm rests front and rear.

15. Seat Arm rests front and rear.

16. Cloth seats. not EJ prem

17. Carpet.

18. Glovebox light. available for EK's

19. Boot Light. not sure probably available

20. Chrome door scuff plates.

21. Thumb press dress rims. EK option

22. Power Boosted brakes. EK option

23. EJ style "low coil mount" side plate. could have come with replacement engine

24. EJ "top ledge" radiator. as above

25. Alloy Rocker cover (was painted metallic Red and Gold with Metallic Green oil cap). as above

26. Day / Night mirror. not sure more than likely an EK option

that's correct that's what i said earlier who knows if the engine was factory fitted who knows if any of it was factory fitted it's all educated guesses  as to the engine there's a couple of clues to me that would point away from holden, the fact it's a from memory FE or FC, rocker cover, the red garden hose for a heater hose

so that leaves 5 things all of which as i've said were more than likely factory done and that is by no means a proffessional opinion just my opinion  i'm not running around saying i'm an expert  on these cars but as i said i've pulled down and rebuilt from virtually nothing my fare share to give me a bit of a clue not just searched the internet (which is a real reliable source of info   ) as i said to you my opinion of the car was it's just an optioned up car for the boss and it's special for that reason

alot of people get excited about that sort of thing but not really me it's definately interesting though

i don't own it why would it be anything special to me :?

it's all good just 2 differing opinions :) 1 from someone with nothing to gain and another with everything to gain, as i stated right at the start it was never meant to dissrespect the car, but i just figured i had to justify my point of view when my knowledge was questioned, i'm not calling myself an expert or to have knowledge of intrcate details (such as No's and paint and trim codes) but 30 odd years of f#%king about with predominately FB/EK's and quite a few other early holdens having stripped a few to virtually nothing and rebuilding them pretty much by my self (get a hand with panel beating) i've got a bit of a clue

If you have pulled that many apart , etc , then surely you would know that if an EK has factory metallic paint it must be more than a little bit out of the ordinary ?????
How many of those have you seen ???

If you dont think its anything special , fine , but please stop going on and on about it - people might start thinking that you are a shit stirrer
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

if you looked i didn't question the paint :? and did say it was my opinion as with others (and also told steve to his face when i saw the car) that the car was more than likely a special build for the boss, i have seen a stock EK years ago painted in the EH premier dark metalic grey but all i saw of it was the outside and didn't really pay anymore attention to it so it could have been a respray as steve's could be, but it would have been a long time ago and a very very thorough job (and don't twist this around  i'm NOT saying it has been resprayed just anything is possable)
once again i didn't say the car isn't anything special   i said it's nothing special TO ME as in i don't own it and it won't change my life
i wasn't going on about it i was being questioned as to my knowledge and was pointing out what i could see
someone might be seen as a shit stirer sticking there beak in after the disscussion (which didn't involve them) had seemed to be put to bed
