Jason on FX FJ forum I think it was, used it in his ute. $70 delivered, enough to do a ute he says.

Two coats of MetalfixImageImageI’m impatient to get the front back on but should wait for it to cure. I may end up giving the firewall another coat of something but based on how the subframe has come up I probably won’t need to.

You can see where I have painted over some primer overspray and I’m hoping this will disappear when cured. Just need some hot weather but nothing on the horizon.

Got this to stick the subframe on withImage

Clay,

A words of warning about the cast headers - they're designed to interfere with standard inlet manifolds. You may quickly find yourself with an X2 or WW Stromberg intake setup.

Already got the 186S manifold and WW carb Rob, and a mildly worked head. All I need now is a decent short motor and bit of a cam. We shall see.

Nice work Clay,
Your firewall and underbody are looking very tidy. Oh and I like the loo of your bench seat too  Keep at it.

Stephen

Nah, haven't heard of JMS. Looks like he runs a small engine mobile mechanic service out of Colyton (about 10km west) and lives near me in Greystanes. If you need anything picked up from him, give me a yell (should be home this weekend).

Cheers,
