Hey Clay if I have no luck this time with the front screen and we think it is the trim then I may take you up on your offer, by the way have you received those metal strips yet mate??

Also meant to tell you all that I had an issue with not being able to start the engine and couldn't figure out why, John (Compo) was telling me to check this and that and I keep dismissing things thinking they were alright, went and bought a new starter motor as all I was getting was a click click from the solenoid and changed the battery, something John had said made me get under the car to check the engine earth cable for me to find that I hadn't tightened up the nut that holds the cable to the engine and so bad earth equated to no start.

What a rookie mistake   now I'm going to go back over the car and make sure everything is tight as it should be.

Hi Greg have a look at the picture on page 32 it is a fuse box I bought from a local supplier I had also bought another one off of evilbay that I used so the one in the picture is available if you want it as for relays other than the V6 conversions ones that come as part of their wiring harness I only have 3 others they are hi and Lo beam and a relay for the horn so I don't actually have a relay box as such.
I've probably confused you even more.

All good Neil Thanks.

Not much power draw in my car no fancy stuff like AC or H4 light etc, the only thing I have that will draw a bit is the fans and fuel pump, relay for the horn and fans thats about it.

I ended up getting a painless 12 circuit mini fuse panel which will be more than I need anyway.

Your car is looking fantastic hope its going for you shortly.

Regards Greg

Cool 😎 mate I'm like you no ac etc only reason for all the other relays is the electronics for the engine.

Keith and I put the windscreen back in yesterday after Keith messed around with the stainless trim, the two top corners were not grabing the inner lip that is in the rubber so he used the pliers and somehow got it to work, took 2 or 3 hours but it now seems to fit really well.

Also helped that I took the wiper bezzels off as they were clearly pushing the bottom trim up as well.

Can you get them back on now with the rebent trim, or do you have to modify the bezels?

The bezels can be made to sit flush with the top of the cowl vent cover panel so they have to fit really.

Got the cargo strips thanks Neil.

Clays right Harv re the bezels when we first tried to fit the screen with the bezels fitted they must have been pushing the lower trim up and the rubber would not sit properly without the bezels the lower part of the screen fits nice and close and the bezels are easy to refit after the screen is in, if they won't fit back on then the screen is still not in properly.

I was too stingy to pay the $300 odd dollars on ebay for a pit pal; I have just started to strip down the 307 that I have, taking to the guy next door a couple of days ago who does CNC signs and stuff; he walked into my office this morning with the below; this is his Mk 1 model its made of composite aluminium.
I'm going to get him to make one for the push rods and valves as well.
It still has the protective plastic paper on it at the moment.
Any orders

1. Buy carton of beer.
2. Place beer in fridge.
3. Push dissassembled valve stems and pushrods through empty box, in correct order.
4. Finish rebuild, dispose of oily cardboard.
5. Consume beer*

* order for Step 5. may vary.

Cheers,
