Pretty much Mick, need the back decked out, visors covered, exterior mirrors, stereo and then we'll see when thats done .

I have a question! I have 215/75/14's on the rear with a 3.36 ratio diff, it felt a bit slugish taking off, would it go better with 185/75/14's?

is there much height differance between the 2 tyres ? that or drop to a 3.55 centre i just did this with mine it was sluggish with the 3.36 but is better with the 3.55 and still sits on 100-110 still suffers on hills though

With a grey that has a bit of a cam, it's engine torque at lower RPM is down and they can be sluggish off the mark and this is compounded by fitting a "taller" diff than standard .

The original crossplies had a rolling diameter of 24 inches if you need a standard reference point.

A 3.36 is probably about the limit with a grey and especially a worked one with 14 inch rims.

But I'd see how it goes Trev as your engine is new and will need time to bed in as well so after things settle down and it's tuned and running right then it may run a bit better.Although a change to a 3.55 is a quick fix ATM.

If you are running a Traumatic ( can't remember what box your using Trev ) and wanted to stick with the 3.36 then you could try a higher stall convertor as this will allow the engine to get to a higher torque point straight off the mark than a standard convertor and will help with sluggishness.

Thanks for nothing Terry , when you see it in the flesh the handles wouldn't be the only thing to stop me getting a trophy .

I think I'll be changing the tyers rather than the diff ratio, just went to check the oil in it and discovered it's a LSD .

RB and Terry, from my calculations the 185's would be about 1 inch less height than the 215's, Trev .

Running the car with no exhaust will also rob it of some low end power.

Well done Trev. As for tyres wait till the exhaust is done. You may not need to change. Then again it is a grey, sluggish is normal.....
