A Magna roof is to wide.
Scotty and I have looked into the posibilities of doing a turret swap for several years.
And I have spent quiet a while checking out what would come close to an FB EK's cowl and interior dimensions.
Even in the small imported cars, a large persentage are wider than an early Holden.
I prefer to use something where possible, that will not require major surgery to make it fit. And use an available front and rear glass.
As like the already posted custom, this work will not always be accepted or liked by some. But at the end of the day it is up to the owner, he is either doing it himself or paying someone else to. And as long as he is happy with the end result that is all that matters.

When I was building mine I had in the back of my mind the Chev front as I have done but also the late model Magna style roof. As per Chevzoom I think it was called and built by I think Boyd Coddington. I just didn't have it in me to cut up such a good body incase it looked like shit.
Pretty Close! It was the Chezoom, Mal.......................

That ill do Scotty
I have been doing a bit of looking at different roofs but haven't done any measuring yet. Definately has to be able to retain the original donor cars front & back screens.

Chezoom has a much lower roof profile and tapers down more in the rear

i like it. it looks pretty kool to me. and i can also appreciate the incredible amount of work that would have gone into the body work. the more i look at it, the more its growing on me.

....Wish I could knock up a finished artwork in 3 hours!!
Did this artwork early last year...and have been muckin' around with this design since 1998!!
As for a donor roof needing to be stock...why?...nothing to stop using two front windscreens or two different ones?
Scotty.

I know the car Paul-I parked next to it at the Yanchep Cruise last year and had a yarn with the bloke. I was thinking widen 8inches and use a HQ subframe similar to what Fitzy did with his FC
