Spoke to a mate of Scotty's yesterday that was able to tell me what happened to the Customized ute that Alex posted the picture of.
The car ended up in the Blue Mountains in the early 70's and the new owner tried to register it.
But was given a list of things to fix, but nothing too big.
He took it home and stripped out the body removing all the chromed suspension and every small part, along with the motor and box.
Putting everthing into an FB EK wagon
The custom body was taken to the local dump where it became land fill!

Ahhh the old Russell Cooper....AHHH GEEZE AHH GEEEZE!! He did have a very different point of view than most folk.
He's still alive and a bit of a hermit these days according to "Honest Rusty".
I remember him brush painting his EK "way-gan" in black gloss enamel and it turning out quite good with no brush marks.
Scotty.

Can't let that comment slip by, I started driving in the early 70's and one of the places we use to frequent was the local stock car racing tracks (Junee and the like) and we would watch and cheer as another "OldHolden" would be driven into the ground. So don't be too hard on your old mans attitude way back whenrustysdungers wrote:I think this is why i have to do a good job on my cars cause i grew up with all these bodgey cars as a kid

Old Holdens were plentiful and who knew we were destroying tomorrow's collectable cars, I know I've brought/sold and wrecked plenty as a kid myself.

One day a guy had a huge crash in his S model Val and he asked me later in the day if I could tow it into Junee
as he could not drive it home after dark cause it was wrecked
He use to drive it out about 3 k's to the track at first light then home late the old days
and what does that mean Mark I don't do that in the van
Can't get booked for bein too cool !!!!
