Hey Guys,
Have been out of communication for a while now....
A little bit of progress has occured...
Have fitted the engine over the last couple of months and fired it for the first time this morning..
Im pretty happy with the way it is looking, kinda tough.
Have bought a pair of 22" Smithys Glasspacks to go on it, should give it a really nice crackle....

Mate, the quality of cars being built in garages these days is sensational.
Roll it on, we need more of these.

Mate,
Looking fantastic!
Not trying to be a kill joy or anything but Ive noticed your copper brake lines. I dont think they will pass rego as I was told they are illegal in NSW.
No doubt your engineer will sort this out and let me know what the final outcome is.

Or Greg they may be the same as what I used. The Brake lines we got had a copper coating over the steel. Had us worried when we first picked it up. Soon realised it was all OK.

That is bloody incredible!! That is so low!!
I've also heard of the copper coated steel brake lines and yes, full copper brake lines aren't legal at least in NSW but I'd say that copper coated steel ones aren't a problem, that is, if you can convince the rego inspector that they aren't full copper.

One simple test to find if they are copper coated steel, use a magnet. If it sticks she's all good.

Cheers for the encouragement guys.. its been a slow road but its starting to get exciting now... ive had all these nice re-chromed bits sitting on the shelf for the past couple of years and now i can start putting them on...
Mattymartin - i originally wanted to get into the car Dukes of Hazzard style this proved to be impractical.. so have fitted solenoids inside the door hooked up to the original release mechanism. A small 50lb spring (door popper) will be fitted so when the door is closed the spring is compressed and then when you activate the solenoid, the door simply pops open an inch or so..
As for brake lines, as far as i know they are copper... i had no idea they were a problem... will grab a magnet tomorrow... they look real nice tho.
As for whats next, im going to organise the wheels... Momo 3 spokes...
Just kidding.
Im going to keep those rims and either powder coat black or 2 pac...
I had 2 custom push-thru bullets made up, 110mm long and had them chromed..
Some chrome wheels nuts..
Perhaps some hot-rod style dress-rims..
And some whitewalls...
Im going to fit the Cruzin skirts too.. i havent had them fitted with the bags yet.. probably wont be able to see the back wheels at all...
Then will need to get the exhaust bent up...
