Family Affair Ek Ute
Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
I have a set of Stark A pillar repair pieces that you can have for a good price.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
You could get the rear axle hump section from a donor sedan body. The box section above it is "fairly" easy to fabricate.
In my current project the top mounts for the rear shocks had torn out, and I decided to swap in HKTG top mounts. It's a lot of work, but a much better design. It'd be an easier task on a ute, since you don't have to worry about the back seat.

Hi Sneezy;
I have the RH inner Rare Spares replacement leg if it is any help to you.
Like Brett I have the passenger side inner A Pillar bottom section.
And I know I'm in WA but thanks to EK Mart over here I have the below, I've used what I needed but this may help you a lot, not sure if any of the Queensland boys coming to the Nationals could help get it to you if you were interested, free to you you get it there.
I had the same section behind the cabin divider that was knackered but yours is worse, as somebody has already said the Rare Soares rear floor pans will do that fix. The top square piece (strengthener) is in really good nick as is the underneath as you can see.

Thanks mate really appreciated!! I'm trying to get my head around the very first part after the seat lower panel . Is it part of the sedan rear floors from rare spares ?
Pic attached . I get a bit lost in the decipher haha lots of different name interpretations for the same part . I've circled the bit I'm referring to Sent from my SM-A546E using Tapatalk

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
Hi Sneezy as Brett has said.
You will find that the floor pans between models are basically identical the really only difference is the fuel tank area, Ute, Panel Van and Wagon all had the square fuel tank, you can even see there in your photo where the back seat floor support is
for the wagon and sedan back seat
I've actually got a full fuel tank surround that I'm probably not going to use that was donated to me by Wrong Way Roger, Thanks Roger, mate you may want to use that also.
I also have a full EK subchassis but like them all it needs repairs but not sure if it is better than yours but I think it is.
Anybody need an EK Subchassis just asking.

Thanks Brett , I deep dove into your build last night night and now understand how the floor pans work . Least to say it was 1am before I dragged my self from the rabbit hole and went to bed haha. Amazing work you have done !Brett027 wrote:The red circled bit is just Rares fb/ek rear floor pans.

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
So the panel beater is ripping in , has replaced the left rear quarter so nice to see it straight again after all these years .. I was lucky to get a hold of a genuine nos rear quarter panel 10 years ago and held onto it.
Have ordered a heap of stuff from retro rods , they are now doing floor panels for the Ek probably not on there sites yet they only pressed the first lot last week. Have also got some stuff coming from Thomson's. Sent from my SM-A546E using Tapatalk

Re: Family Affair Ek Ute
Little bit confused here, how much of the rear quarter did you replace ? Was it a full ute/van panel you had or an FC wagon rear quarter ?
Nice progress either way
Nice progress either way

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
