The Gall bros put me onto a good young mobile rust repair bloke they use with their cars.
He has a really cool setup and goes pretty hard. Rocks up at 8, headphones in and does not stop until 5 and leaves the place spotless each day.
We’ve got a system going where I’ll book him for a week at a time where he will cut everything out, fit up or make the rust repair sections, tack everything in so I can then come through, rust treat, paint and final weld the repairs.
Given my workload, family commitments, the FB (which still isn’t 100% finished) it means we’ve been able to make some pretty good progress!
First section tackled with the A pillars on both sides. Once complete the area was painted with por 15, or epotec and 2k with a new windscreen rubber to seal everything back up.

Pete Neale from Pete’s hotrod shop let us know he was using Eddie for the moonshine run Merch so the thrash was on to get him back together and driveable.
By this stage he’d donated his bonnet to the FB which needed another bonnet to deskin and use the bracing for.
The spare bonnet skin was thrown on (method to my madness) and fastened with some bonnet pins.
Some ally door skins bead rolled up and we were back in action for the moonshine run

At this stage decisions were made to step things up a little and get a bit more serious with Eddie.
My billet grey motor had come to a grinding hault not being able to aquire a cam billet for the solid roller conversion so it was mothballed down at HSD.
After speaking to Adam at HSD and Jeff Ramsay the decision was made to build a blown 202 to slot into old Edward replacing the tired old grey from the FB.
The red is nothing crazy but should be reliable and make enough power to have a bit of fun.
Billet crank from EFI Australia, spool boosted bottom end, grout filled block, girdle, roller cam and supporting valve train, carbied E85 and of course one of Jeff Ramsays 4/71 9 port blower kits with one of HSDs 9 port heads. Finished in grey of course..
I picked up a red motor Maggie from Harv which was also sent down to Advance Magnetos for a birthday. Not sure if I will run this or maybe go for an ice ignition system although o am leaning to the more period magneto..
Some vintage low back kirkeys scored off market place also for good measure

If Jeff has made that red as hard as the one in his humpy ute, this will be interesting
Want to make another set of those ally door cards?
Cheers,
Harv

Very much appreciated. Plan for these is to put them on the FB sedan. No rush at all. Let me know how much I owe you.
Cheers,
Harv
