The dizzy is only an esp one out of the black carb model so nothing in it...it has crank trigger and msd programable box ( set timing with lap top) but we had problem with the ring gap being to tight, so re hone and new top rings.. try again next week... didn’t even get to rev it over 5500 but only made 220 hp and 228 ftlb still really rich and no timing in it yet see what happens next week I guess

lucky you found it early - insufficient ring gap can get awful expensive

For sure .. we did a few runs to bed the cam in and then a little pull up to 5500 and went to have a leak test and it was blowing oil out the breather so we hooked a manometer on the breather and did a small run and found a lot of pressure so the head came straight off!!

I had a bit of a problem with the bonnet hinge hitting my air filter so thanks to some good info from Brodie and Mr Black here we go with the hinge conversion, had to start by getting rid of some holes and getting the mount point straight as I couldn’t live with the crooked mounting

Why the extension on the bottom, just to stiffen it up and brace it from sideways movement when the bonnets open ???

Though I getter pull my finger out and get these bonnet hinges sorted out as the nationals are creeping up on me pretty quick. Considering I have a car with still no engine and no bonnet to hide the fact there is no engine in there
