Blacky I won’t be able to make the AGM, I’m heading back home to Adelaide for a month to see the family and the ‘new’ wagon.

Will be back in Perth soon enough though mate.

Snorkeling at Ningaloo was just tops mate, and I’m heading up to Broome in my next RnR.
Will be down in Perth for a couple of weeks on August 6th though, would definitely like to catch up if possible and talk cars.

Definitely looking at ‘Preserving’ the old girl.
Congrats on the purchase. Looks like a good pick up!

I've been in the same boat as yourself with regards to being temporarily located in WA due to covid. Enjoy the time home with your family when you get it. This wagon will also give you something to look forward too.

As for the paint work I've seen a few people have success with Ballistol.

I've got a can as its on my to do list to do the rear cargo area of my wagon but as it doesn't stop me driving it its one of those things I've been putting off. One day I'll get there haha.

Cheers BS for the kind words and yes it’s not easy being away from home as you know, let’s hope this is only temporary.

That Ballistol product looks like the ducks guts for what I need.
I’ll definitely give it a go as it looks very easy with the scotchbrite pads.

It looks like you could obtain a similar result with WD40?

I Wallis assume that Ballistol and WD40 are very similar.
Back in the workshop I have a a good supply of Inox and Lanotec so I think I will give them both a go to see if they do a decent job.
Only problem with these products is that dust sticks like shit on a blanket to it, so it will be a process of trial and error.

I just don’t want to get the missus’ clothes dirty with oil if she brushes up against it 😂

So after a long wait and many delays due to the pressure truckers are now under due to COVID ai am happy to say the wagon is getting picked up in Gondiwindi today.
Really can’t wait to have it home so I can have myself a little bit of fun with it!
