Thanks guys yes getting closer, maybe not so happy with the front screen may have to come out again, I had a good look yesterday when I was cleaning the screens and it doesn't seem to be sitting in the rubber properly, maybe the after market rubber as I read so many times on other threads.
Thought I would post a before and after shot.

Rear screen looks good anyway.

Was the screen fitting okay when you got the car Neil? There is some variation in both screens and bodies.

Hey Billy yes you could say I've had a bit of a cleanup all the stuff laying around in the first photo ended up in the ute and I'm thinking the same maybe no rain and no wash

Clay rear screen is great I got that rubber in amungst a pile of other stuff I picked up awhile ago so not sure where it came from but it is pretty good, the front rubber I only purchased a few months ago and as for screen fitting before mate the first photo is pretty much how I got the body when I started it did not come with any glass let alone many other pieces hence the name Frankenstein

I was much happier with the Better Auto Rubbers front rubber when we did it second time around - back was fine as the rares one but the rates front was horrible.

If it is the sides and corners where the problem is then it could be a mismatch between body and screen. I had this problem once with a laminated screen that got fitted to my sedan, long story. Screen was a little too wide. Pulled it out and fitted an original zone toughened screen I had, problem solvered.

Just measured some screens. The opening in my ute is 1316mm outside face - outside face and the screen is 1336 osf-osf. Glass is 6mm as is rubber. Let’s say 1/4” x4 so 25.4mm. So my screen is 5mm tight.The other screens measured 1331 and 1339. That is more than enough variation to result in poor fit.

Hey guys we have decided to pull the front screen out again, the problem seems to be with the stainless trim I got this one off of Blacky acka EK Mart and not sure if it has been bent a little on the pieces that anchor it in the rubber, we will check the screen as well as it seems to not want to sit in the rubber properly at the top and bottom of the screen, Keith seems to think it is the trim however.

I will keep you posted and thanks for all of the ideas, by the way the front rubber was bought from Aveska on Ebay and I'm pretty sure they get them from Betta Rubber so hopefully it is not the rubber.

I had to do my window 3 times as it was never sitting right and the rubber seemed to be popping in the bottom corners slightly... the issue i was having was with the trim on i believe the windscreen wiper bezels need to go on after?

i'm sure someone can correct me if i'm wrong going of quite a faded memory on this one... might be giving you some grief is all?

Wiper bezels can go on after but best to fit the mechanism beforehand - that was my experience anyway.

The trims are a PITA and if they have been cleaned it can be a pain getting them lined up evenly from side to side - I cheated a bit and left the dirty marks from previous fitment so the windscreen guy had something to line up so the corners overlapped evenly each side but it's not easy getting it right first time - It also helped putting car out in the warm sun for a couple days - the rubber relaxed and tightened up in places it looked like it would not finish well.

Thanks guys wiper bezels were on so yes maybe they are interferring as it is at the bottom that there ia a klittle bit of drama.
