Something else I have been wanting to do for years is try a weather shield- bought this one from Tony Grima on the way to the Toowoomba nationals - it is missing some of the clips so I had to make them , didn’t have any stainless in the shed so I will paint these body colour so they blend in a bit better

It’s a sedan one so it needed to be modified to fit around the rear of top bit - will get it mounted up and try it and see if I like it

I’m guessing that’s how they are ? It’s a bit long I was thinking of trimming that bit off will see how it goes.
Got the rims and the brackets painted , threw the ute up on a hoist to check fluids etc - going to try it with the 14” rims and a 3.36 diff seeing the new engine is a bit more sprightly than the old one

It’s putrid underneath- I have some cleaning to do Image

Can still see the mark from last time through the oil and the dust - this time it gets a pinion seal and a speedy sleeve :problem:

Spent most of this arvo underneath- after wasting most of the morning chasing up a pinion seal ImageImage went to the usual supplier yesterday and bought 2 pinion seals for $25 EACH , got home last night after the pub and the bloody things were the wrong size Image went inside and checked the Rare Spares website they were showing as in stock at our WA Rare Spares so I left this morning for the 45 minute drive to get there only to find they don’t have any ImageImage rang a mate and he had them at his shop so drove another 45 minutes down south and got one from him Image

Gave the old girl a squirt of CT-18 underneath and pressure cleaned underneath to try and get some of the crap off - came up good considering it’s been on the road for 16 years since the rebuild
