it is not very pretty Blacky and I don't know where the floor mount can from I think it was with a box of stuff I got with that other old ute.

I will take a photo of it if you don't laugh at it, I cut the pedal and the cable end from a VN one and welded them to the round bar.

Hi Neil looking good, as to your question re wiring and door switches I suggest you use Commodore ones, the earth is via a self tapper that holds the switch in place and the wire attaches with a standard push on connector, a much more reliable arrangement than the ones pictured given they look badly corroded.

Photo of my wacky accelerator pedal for you Blacky the foot pad is a commodore one the shiny bit is just a cheap dress up piece.

You would probably have to see it as the photo is not that good.
I found it hard to get it around the the inner section that the leg of the subchassis bolts into, as I said I had the floor mount, spring piece and lever from a box of stuff I had and then cut the cable end and the pedal from the commodore accelerator and welded them on, a little extra bending and it is working, I'm using the standard VP throttle cable so wanted the end to fit up properly.

Hope it helps as I said easier to look at it than in the photo.

Keith great idea on the commodore interior light door switches mate, I raided the wiring harness I had and after having procrastinated for what seemed like months within 10 minutes all done and dusted. Neil

Well some major steps completed in the last two weekends with the help of two really good people.

Firstly John Campo from the WA club came and finished wiring up my headlights that I just couldn't get my head around, I just couldn't figure out how to get the VT headlight switch and the high beam/flasher lever on the steering column to work no matter how long I stared at the wiring diagram, took John a couple of hours and I had to buy new headlights but at the end of it all wiring is now completed thanks John.

Now to yesterday and to say I'm a happy man is an understatement Keith (retired panel shop owner) who did the body work and painted Frank and has become a good friend came down and together we installed my ebay purchased headliner and then we pulled in the front and back windscreens. So I still have wiring to tidy up, brakes to bleed, hand brake cable to finish and interior and I should be finished maybe

Thanks Mate, cabin wall is covered in poor mans Dyna-mat l still have to finish doing the firewall and floor after tidying up the wiring.
