It's a modern world Blacky. I have no problems if Barney chooses to hook up with Frankenstein. It will be a long distance relationship though.

Brett itβs a real credit to you mate, I would be lost doing the level of work you are into.
Seriously wicked job man, well done.

Thanks Drew, but I reckon you are underestimating yourself. Plenty of evidence of your skills in your own build.
I am just doing what many others have done before (and will have to do more of in the future as these cars get harder to find in good nick). I am just following rust around the shell and replacing bits, one by one. In this case an unreasonably large amount of rust but getting less everyday. I make plenty of mistakes along the way; most often mucking up a cut clearance gap on the last edge after spending an hour making a piece, or having a moment where welding goes stupid for no apparent reason. I just don't show those pictures

.
Rob and Sam can both attest having seen my handiwork first hand that there are plenty of rough edges, imperfections and shortcomings.
I don't do concours

Knock off time. A left bit to finish tomorrow. Nothing that a bit of sound deadener won't smooth out

. Rob's famous template in use again for the sill end.

Hey Brett I think if Barney and Frankenstein get together they will get on famously but Frank is Hetro mate

hopefully we will get them together at the Nationals all going well.
And Blacky stop giving names away mate I was thinking of using Bride of Frankenstein for my wagon

Yes, would be great to catch up at Nationals. My plan is to get ute there - preferably with 186 and other mods with engineers certification, but if that holds me up I'll put the original motor in it and go old school.

Today has ended a bit unusually. Went with a mate in his old Chev to check out some old school panel beaters. Got about 3kms out of town and it gave up the ghost. No tools, so he's gone back for a car trailer. Thought I'd post a photo while I'm sitting in the sun waiting.
Lovely old girl with a 6cyl engine that reminds me of my old farm J5 bedford!

Did a bit on the Chev today. Re-set carby float as fuel height was much too low. But,there is a blockage of fuel leaving fuel tank, with the pump sucking air when filter clamp released but not fuel. Left my mate to pull out tank and investigate.
