Hey Mal,
I reckon the front will go maybe another inch. Thats not all that bad although cause it will drop again after you drive it a bit. You still have the glass grill bumpers, interior full tank of fuel to go. I would be happy with that ride height at this stage.
Im still trying to get used to the eyebrows but they are growing on me.
Geeze mate it is looking great I really do need to get my finger out!

Top inspiration! Even my wife says isnt that the guy you sold the sill to and look what he's done in this short time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn.

You could just about get it to Yamba as is, Malcolm - and we've got 70 odd sleeps to go...............

I bet you're now comfortable with your position - unfortunately for us, it's nearly over.......... 'til we see it....

Mal, Greg is pretty well right, when you fit all that glass and interior, she will come down a couple of inches, but before that!......you may have to check your front wheel clearance on lock, before you tackle into that low rider look. I had the same problem, with the wider track from my strut front end, it is limiting on how low I can go, as it is I'm scraping on turns.
I have done exactly as you have with rolling the inner lip as much as possible. Looking at your previous shot through the headlight to inner guard, the clearance you have with those wheels looks roughly the same as mine, but maybe with your front end, the wheels kick slightly inward at the top whilst on turns. Where as mine kick out slightly.

As I have said before as well as others! "supurrrrb job" and look forward to seeing her and meeting you at Yamba.

Regards John

Looking good mate,

Lil' 57 chev

I like it, and you're designs are really good, they don't look cheesy like the cars of other people who have tried to make an FB\EK look like a 57 chev.

Very Good!

Keep up the good work

Hi all,

I've been so busy in the shed I've hardly had time to keep up the forum.

Matty,

The electric aerial I used it just a universal unit that you can buy from any auto parts shop, and its just
mounted up under the L/H front guard.

OK, after getting the front guards all fitted up I've fitted the grill and have spent a lot of time just doing
little stuff that takes time but at the end of the day you can't see what has been done.

Anyway after tidying up a few things inside I started fitting the carpet.

Image

Image

Also during the week I got all the interior stuff back from the auto trimmers. Happy with that. :D

Image

Finally got all the A/C pipes all finished off and gassed up. Real happy :D with that but not without its fair
share of dramas. Then got the front and rear windscreens fitted. The guy from the windscreen place was glad
to leave by the time he had finished. He thought he would start with the rear as it would be easier  After pulling
it out and refitting it for the second time its still not sitting right. So he's coming back on Tuesday
to fix the rear screen. Then the front screen he had dramas getting the moulds into the rubber but after much
stuffing around it went straight in. :D
Then I fitted all the side windows, very glad I had trial fitted everything as it was still a prick of a job.

Image

And finally I got nearly all the chrome work back. So far the tail lights and rear bumper are all fitted up.
Its always a problem when you put stuff in a safe place, never to be seen again.
So today I've finished off the dash stuff including the under dash a/c ducting and wiring. Behind the dash
is chock a block with crap.

Tomorrow, hopefully I'll get all the front bumper on and finish off the grill and indicators.

Just noticed the plate lights in the bumper, how was this done?

Exhaust tip cut in half maybe?

Matty hasn't replied yet, Malcolm......... I hope he's alright?
Probably just out cold on the floor beside his computer - whatdya think Matty? - bees knees are my thoughts.......

On a more sinister note.............. I hope the feds don't know we're going to Yamba......
Your rocket launchers, Mez's grenade and our pres has a "bombe" and a FEZ in his "rat".............. your all going to spend some quality time together on suspected terrorist charges..........

looking absolutely worth all the effort (and only what you disclosed, Malcolm)....... I hope you don't mind be wearing out your paint with my camera........?

Rosco

EKSPCL, the rear bumper is standard fb/ek wagon.

Rosco, you may not be able to push the button on your camera with those fingers if you don't stop rubbing inside that boot.

If I rub this car (and members sensitive to sexual inuendo - do not proceed past here........!)
Back to top - NOW

If I rub this car any more - it will either point permanently North or orgasm........

I have no fingers left - but the stumps on my hands can still type - just one more blocking back to do then I'm back under the car with the POR..........

Rosco
