Mustang tank?

I thought you would be able to fit an inline pump on the inner guard engine bay and leave the tank alone. Maybe a return line in to the filler neck if necessary.

A 2" sump in your tank up towards the front of it would be hard to spot plus act a bit like a swirl pot for short term acceleration bursts such as responsibly overtaking a road train or the like
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

To get the fuel like out of the boot ill run a -6 braided with fittings and fit a bulkhead fitting to go through the floor. So i can also use a bulkhead to do the same with the breather vent line Greg that's a good idea i to solve the height issue if i need to.

The retro fit pumps come in return or return less , i chose the returnless to avoid having to run a return line and also avoid having a external noisy pump that would also need a external pressure reg and a return line from that back into the tank. The good thing about this returnless version is only one fuel line out to the motor ,the pressure reg is in the tank like the VE commy and 1 vent line which ill do as Greg had suggested.

The lower tank sump is also another good idea Blacky, Tony has already repaired and sealed my tank before (and off set my steel rims) i might grab his number from a PM from if you have it and give him a call about some options.

Tony did my tank as well - I am using a VE Commode fuel pump with an EFI connection adaptor ring welded into the top of the tank.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Got a few jobs ticked off the list yesterday headed from one side of Perth to the other to pick up the hk offset brake booster bracket and whilst down Baldivis ways dropped my 14x7 steelies off to be welded in, did about 150km from a full tank and heading to a mates work shop near home ran out of fuel going up a long hill and concked out 150m from the servo, havent pushed a car into a servo since back on p plates. The gauge was just above empty but it must have been the hill. The guy at the servo suggested i prime my electric fuel pump a few times , i kindly explained the glass bowl fuel pump.

After fueling back up called into a mates work shop for a yarn he also very kindly said if i can use his spare brake bits not a problem.
So now this has opened up a few options regarding brakes.
A 8inch chrome brand new booster
A under dash pedal box that has been modded to suit the pedal in the middle
A ej eh crs firewall booster adapter
Different lengths brake rods.
I could mount the offset hk and install the booster and redrill the offset bracket holes to line up with the booster.
Install the offset pedal box and drill a 32mm holesaw through the center rib on the firewall between the oem brake and clutch fixings.
Get my ve boot hinges modded to suit the fb and just hardmount the booster inline to the original brake pedal arm.

A bit of an update from the other day ran out of time for now will get back at it next week , i got to use the eh to master cylinder adp as a template, im looking at using 10mm plate between the the hk spacer and fire wall this will space it of the fire wall enough to clear the ribs . Im looking at another plate spacer for the " clutch side" aswell this will allow 4 fixing bolts through to the original fb pedal box. Ill put a 2mm plate over the hk clutch hole and just drill fresh holes for the 2 fixing bolts. The spacers will be shaped to suit neatly and welded to the hk bracket at final fixing time. Sure was a mission getting a tiny cutting disk in the hk bracket to cut out holdens splatter welds and bolts. Had a real rough look at ve bonnet hinges and fixings but will focus on the booster first. ImageImageImageImageImageImage

Got a little shed time tonight and have the offset bracket mounted just needs to be leveled , the plates have just been tacked on. It will all come off for a proper clean up , weld and off to the powder coaters.
The bracket was solid with two bolts to the fire wall but i wanted 4 now it doesnt budge. I plated over the hk clutch cyl cut out should look a little neater once its finished.
The 7 inch booster with no bonnet spring will just clear, but im looking for a black booster not a chrome one. Trying to find a early hk is impossible next option is a after market black 7 booster and modify the hk bracket to suit the booster.
Not to sure on the final route for the speedo cable may end up getting a longer one made.ImageImageImageImageImage

One car I ran speedo cable inside firewall and out through side of tunnel. Was a trimatic so made a hole to suit HKTG grommet. V8 cable is longer I believe.
